This vintage late 1980s Chanel clutch features the house's covetable Gripoix jewel prints throughout, trimmed with white leather and finished with an interlocking 'CC' gold-plated turn-lock.
About Gripoix Glass: First produced by Parisian glass-maker Augustina Gripoix in the late 1800s, the eponymous jewelry style was created by pouring glass into shapes and colors meant to imitate the look of authentic pearls and crystals. Coco Chanel later made this poured glass iconic by replicating Byzantine-style jewelry using the Gripoix glass. Chanel Gripoix jewelry has since become covetable and collectible to followers of the house, as the original vintage pieces become increasingly harder to find.
